GRETNA – A nursing home resident is suing after he was allegedly improperly treated resulting in the development of severe pressure sores subsequent to being malnourished and dehydrated.
Adam Howard, and son Ronald, filed suit against Chateau Living Center LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on Sept. 19.
The plaintiff maintains that after he moved into the defendants’ nursing home he was improperly treated, becoming malnourished and dehydrated before developing serious pressure sores that required medical intervention. Howard contends that Chateau Living Center is responsible for his injuries and for providing better medical care going forward.
The defendant is accused of causing the conditions that resulted in the plaintiffs’ injuries.
An unspecified amount in damages is sought for injunctive relief, loss of consortium, physical pain and suffering, mental pain and suffering, medical expenses and court costs.

The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.
