Gas station supplier seeks $34K in breach of contract suit

GRETNA – A gas station supplier is suing a chain of local gas stations for alleged breach of contract.

A-1 Service Inc. filed suit against Quick Way Food Store Inc., Quick Way Food Store #1, Quick Way Food Store #2, Quick Way Food Store #3, Quick Way Food Store #4 and Ballard’s Petroleum Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 3.

A-1 Service Inc. asserts that on Dec. 5, 2011 it entered into a five-year agreement with the defendants to provide them with floor mats, mops, towels and related products. The plaintiff claims that the defendants breached the contract when they terminated it on May 8. A-1 Service Inc. alleges the defendants owe $34,205.77 for services it would have provided over the remainder of the contract, plus penalties.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for $34,205.77 plus 18 percent interest and 25 percent in attorney’s fees.

A-1 Service Inc. is represented by Bradley J. Chauvin of New Orleans-based Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
