NEW ORLEANS – An electrical supply company is suing a contractor claiming it is owed a debt worth nearly $140,000.

Crawford Electric Supply Company filed suit against Western Surety Company and Woodrow Wilson Construction, L.L.C. in the Orleans Parish District Court on June 1.

Crawford Electric Supply Company claims that the defendants failed to pay after services were rendered in the construction of Alice Harte Elementary School. The plaintiff alleges that Woodrow Wilson Construction L.L.C. has failed to pay its debt owed for supplies and equipment provided to E-Co Systems.

Crawford Electric Supply Company contends that Woodrow Wilson Construction, L.L.C. has been paid for the job for which the plaintiff provided materials and is therefore entitled to recover penalties and attorney fees.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for the principal price of $139,922.39 plus interest as well as all attorney and court filing fees associated with recovering the debt.

Crawford Electric Supply Company is represented by Francis R. White, III.

The case has been assigned to Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
