Former and current security shift supervisors of an integrated energy company in Killona claim they have not been paid for overtime hours for several years up to and including March, violating the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938.
April Davis, Dedrick Dent, Michael Flournoy, Sanders Johnson, Michael Minnick, David Wiltz and Harold Zeringue filed a lawsuit Aug. 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Entergy Operations Inc., claiming that they earned but did not receive compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week.
The former and current shift supervisors are seeking to recover compensatory damages and an equal amount of liquidated damages as well as an award of reasonable attorneys’ fees, costs and other expenses. They are also seeking any appropriate back pay and any other benefits wrongly denied.
The plaintiffs are represented by New Orleans-based R. Glenn Cater and Amanda C. Graeber of Cater & Associates, and Gretna-based attorney Chris Edwards.
