New Orleans woman files suit against Walgreens, alleging negligence after slip and fall

Larwalgreens

NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans woman has filed suit against Walgreens and its insurance company after sustaining injuries at a pharmacy.

On Sept. 18, 2014, Christine Slack of New Orleans was an invited guest to the store when she was injured while shopping in a New Orleans Walgreen as a result of a slip and fall, the suit claims.

Slack alleges that she sustained severe bodily injuries, however the petition does not identify a specific cause of Slack’s slip and fall.

Slack contends that the store was negligent in failing to use reasonable care and failing to see what should have been seen.

The plaintiff seeks damages for medical expenses, mental anguish and loss of earning capacity.

Slack is represented by Larry M. Asiota, Jr. of Chalmette.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Paula A. Brown.

Case No. 15-7944.
