NEW ORLEANS – A man has brought suit against an Orleans Parish man alleging negligence after he was injured while working for the defendant.
Robert Aldana has filed suit against Laurence Lambert and his property insurer in Orleans Parish Civil District Court.
In September of 2014, Robert Aldana claims he was hired by Laurence Lambert to perform general labor work on Lambert’s property on W. Lee Boulevard in New Orleans. On Sept. 12, 2014, Aldana contends that he was operating a table saw which backed up on him resulting in injuries to his thumb and hand.
Aldana claims Lambert acted negligently by failing to provide him with proper equipment, assistance and a safe work environment.
The plaintiff seeks damages for pain and suffering, loss of wages and earning capacity, scarring and disfigurement, medical expenses and loss of enjoyment of life.
Aldana is represented by Joseph S. Piacun, Thomas A. Gennussa, II and Reid S. Uzee of Genussa, Piacun and Ruli in Metairie.
The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
