Louisiana man alleges attacker owes $65,000

LAFAYETTE — A Louisiana man is suing an alleged attacker, alleging willful and malicious injury.

Roland Michael Clayton filed a lawsuit in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Louisiana Lafayette Division against Casey Carl Simon alleging the defendant attacked him and caused injuries.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 18, 2010, Clayton suffered physical injury and resulting damages when Simon intentionally attacked him.

The plaintiff seeks a trial by jury, a finding that the defendant's action were willful and malicious and a determination that Simon's indebtedness of $65,583.63 is nondischargable, plus cost of suit and any further relief the court deems proper. He is represented by attorney W. Simmons Sandoz of Sandoz Law Offices in Opelousas.
