GRETNA – Two Louisiana-based companies are seeking damages, claiming that agreements with numerous businesses were canceled without reason.
Universal TelCom LLC and Universal ComOne LLC filed a suit against 250 S. Broad Inc.; Morales Brothers LLC, doing business as Ideal Market; Kaki & Son LLC, doing business as Ideal Market No. 6; and Hamdallah LLC, doing business as Ideal Market No. 9; in the 24th Judicial District Court on April 26.

for the installation of equipment and services, however, the defendant allegedly canceled the agreement and is now indebted to the plaintiff for an amount of more than $5,000.
The suit also states that the plaintiffs entered into an agreement with Kaki & Son for the installation of equipment on Oct. 17, 2014, but that the defendant canceled the agreement without cause and is now indebted to the plaintiff for an amount of more than $7,000. On Dec. 3, 2013, the suit states the plaintiffs entered into an agreement for the installation of equipment with Hamdallah, but the defendant then canceled without cause, and now owes the plaintiff more than $17,000.

The plaintiff is seeking the amounts owed to them, plus attorney's fees and court costs. They are represented by Gerard G. Metzger and Charles T. Curtis Jr. of New Orleans. The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
