Woman alleges she was injured outside of Sam's Club

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish woman alleges she tripped and injured her face, neck, back, knee and ears.

Afife Hasbun filed a suit against Sam's East Inc. and manager Earold Swatt in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 27.

According to the claim, the plaintiff and her daughter were walking through the Sam's Club entrance at 1527 Manhattan Blvd. in Harvey when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to trip and fall face-first on an uneven portion of pavement.

The defendant is accused of negligence through allowing such a condition to exist, failure to warn guests of the danger and indifference.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by Megan E. Farley and Darren A. Patin. The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen D. Enright Jr.
