Woman alleges injuries after fall at Taco Bell

GRETNA – Two individuals are seeking damages, claiming that Taco Bell was responsible for creating a dangerous situation that allegedly resulted in a fall.

Gissela Solorzano Vasquez and Leonel Vasquez filed a suit against Taco Bell Corp., Taco Bell of America LLC and Taco Bell of America No. 2599 in the 24th Judicial District Court on June 1.

According to the claim, Gissela Solorzano Vasquez was a guest at the Taco Bell at 2640 Belle Chasse Highway in Terrytown when the incident occurred on June 5, 2015. The suit states that upon entering the store, the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall on what she later realized was a wet and slippery floor.

The defendants are accused of negligence for failing to place a sign marking the state of the floor, failure to exercise reasonable care and overall negligence in remedying the situation.

The plaintiffs are seeking an unspecified amount in damages. They are represented by Monica C. Sanchez, Hugo L. Chanez and Derrick Jusczak of Mitchell Sanchez in Metairie. The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.
