Jefferson Parish couple accused of not paying promissory note

Late 05

GRETNA – A company has filed suit seeking payment of shoring contract that was allegedly not paid.

120 West Partners LLC filed a suit against Fred Hamilton and Kim Hamilton in the 24th Judicial District Court on June 14.

According to the claim, the defendant entered into an agreement on Feb. 18, 2011, with Patterson Structural Moving and Shoring LLC for the completion of a shoring job following Hurricane Katrina. The suit states that though the defendant executed a promissory note, the defendant then failed to perform obligations related to the fulfillment of the promissory note. The rights, title and interest of the note was transferred to the plaintiff in 2013, the suit states.

The defendant is accused of breach of agreement through failure to uphold the details of the agreement and the promissory note.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Blake E. Oakes of the Oakes Law Firm in Metairie. The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.
