Roubion Construction Co. claims that it was not paid for a house elevation

NEW ORLEANS – A construction company claims that it was not paid for a house elevation.

Roubion Construction Co. Inc. filed a suit against Gwendolyn Ferguson in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on June 6.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was contracted by the defendant to complete general contractor service at the property located at 7260 Voyageur Court on Feb. 22, 2013. The suit states that though the plaintiff elevated the residence in accordance with the requirements for such a job, the defendant has yet failed to make payments for the work, totaling $30,000.

The defendant is accused of default on promissory note and breach of contract, unjust enrichment and open account through failing to pay for the completed work.

The plaintiff is seeking the unpaid amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Bradley Egenberg of Egenberg in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV, Chief Judge.
