NEW ORLEANS – An LLC is seeking damages after a contractor allegedly breached their contract and failed to return funds.
Vessel Nola LLC filed a suit against New Orleans Woodworking & Historical Renovations LLC in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on July 7.
According to the claim, the plaintiff hired the defendant for the manufacturing and installing of a bar and additional furniture in a restaurant which the plaintiff was opening. The suit states that despite being paid for the work, the defendant has thus failed to complete the work or return the money paid to them.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract and acting in bad faith by not completing the work that they were paid to do.
The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Christopher A. Meeks.
The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
