Nunez Community College alleges former student has outstanding account

NEW ORLEANS – A community college is seeking damages, claiming that a student failed to pay for services that were received.

The Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Nunez Community College filed a suit against Kizzy M. Frank in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on July 21.

According to the claim, the plaintiff provided services to the defendant, who was enrolled as a student at the community college. The suit states that despite receiving services in spring 2004, the defendant has failed to pay more than $1,100.

The defendant is accused of open account through failing to pay for the services rendered.

The plaintiff is seeking $1,190.88 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Rokeya J. Morris of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.
