REC Marine Logistics LLC alleged to owe for equipment purchase

NEW ORLEANS – A Louisiana corporation is seeking damages, claiming that a client failed to pay for purchased equipment.

Byrne, Rice and Turner Inc. filed a suit against REC Marine Logistics LLC in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on July 18.

According to the claim, the defendant acquired equipment and material from the plaintiff for the fee of $25,525.59. The suit states that despite demands for the funds, the defendant has failed to make payments on the open account.

The defendant is accused of open account for failing to make payments as required.

The plaintiff is seeking $25,525.59 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Joseph J. Bailey of Provosty, Sadler, deLaunay, Fiorenza and Sobel of Alexandria.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
