University of New Orleans claims that a student owes for attending

GRETNA – The University of New Orleans claims that a student failed to pay for her attendance.

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through the University of New Orleans filed a suit against Sandy Rita Challita in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 1.

According to the claim, the defendant was enrolled as a student of the university from the spring semester of 2011 through the fall semester of 2012. The suit states that the defendant failed to make payments on her account.

The defendant is accused of open account through failing to pay for attending the university.

The plaintiff is seeking $8,774.95 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Scott L. Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge. The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen D. Enright Jr.
