NEW ORLEANS – A company claims that it was not paid for its work on a construction project.
Bunting Graphics Inc. filed a suit against Skanska Mapp, a joint venture, Skanska USA Building Inc., Mapp Construction LLC and Fidelity and Deposit Co. of Maryland in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on July 19.
According to the claim, the plaintiff installed signage for the defendants in relation to the University Medical Center project. The suit states that in addition to failing to pay the plaintiff for the work completed, the defendant failed to allow the plaintiff sufficient time to finish the project. The suit additionally states that the plaintiff is due an amount of more than $400,000.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract for failing to follow the terms agreed upon.
The plaintiff is seeking $428,973.88 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Mark C. Landry of Newman, Mathis, Brady & Spedale in Metairie.
The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
