Woman alleges she was defrauded by daughter after sale of home

NEW ORLEANS – A woman alleges her daughter fraudulently took money from the sale of her home.

Dorothy Tuesno filed a suit against Melissa Jean Tuesno, wife of/and Ralph Jackson, in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on July 19.

According to the claim, the defendants sold the plaintiff's house as the power of attorney in 2013. The plaintiff alleges the defendant and her husband fraudulently took the plaintiff's money from the sale to use towards the purchase of a home at 4819 Citrus Drive.

The plaintiff is seeking $138,597.25 in damages. She is represented by Anthony S. Taormina of the Law Offices of Anthony S. Taormina in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
