Woman allegedly slips, falls at a school due to a wet floor

NEW ORLEANS – A woman is seeking damages following an alleged fall on a wet floor at a school. 

Carman Matherne filed a suit against Rockhill Insurance Company and Empire Janitorial Sales & Services LLC in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on July 26.

According to the claim, the plaintiff allegedly suffered personal injury on Sept. 4, 2015, when she slipped and fell on a wet portion of the floor.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to place proper warnings or to properly clean the premises where the incident occurred.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by Anthony D. Irpino and Bobby G. Hawkins of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court case number 2016-7460.
