Community college sues a student over alleged debt of more than $1,000

GRETNA – A community college claims that a student failed to pay for attending.

The Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Delgado Community College filed a suit against Kiley A. Garic in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 27.

According to the claim, the plaintiff admitted the defendant as a student in the semester of Fall 2012. The suit states that the defendant is indebted for the amount of more than $1,000.

The defendant is accused of open account for failing to pay.

The plaintiff is seeking $1,034.20 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Rokeya J. Morris of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel.
