Corporation claims that it is owed more than $1 million

NEW ORLEANS – A corporation is seeking damages against several entities, including the Law Enforcement District of the Parish of Orleans and the state, claiming that it was never paid for the work they completed.

Wachter Inc. filed a suit Aug. 2 against Law Enforcement District of the Parish of Orleans, State of Louisiana, also known as the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office, The McDonnel Group LLC/Arher Western Contractors LLC, formerly known as Archer Wester Contractors LTD, The McDonnell Group LLC, Archer Western Contractors LLC, formerly known as Archer Western Contractors LTD, CCC Group INC., Cambas Electric Inc., Sierra Detention Systems Inc, Travelers Casualty and Surety Company of America, Liberty Mutual Insurance Co., and Arch Insurance Company in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was hired for work on a project that was completed. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay the plaintiff more than $1 million dollars for the labor and materials provided.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract and delay damages for failing to pay the plaintiff. 

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Andrew T. Lilly.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates.
