NEW ORLEANS – A community college claims that a student failed to pay.
The Louisiana Community and Technical College System through Nunez Community College filed a suit against Dorian Jeffery Sims in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on May 25.
According to the claim, the plaintiff admitted the defendant as a student to the institution for the semester of Fall 2011. The suit states that the defendant has yet to pay the plaintiff more than $1,100.
The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.
The plaintiff is seeking $1,147 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Wendy Ramnarine of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
