Shopper alleges fall in Dollar Tree caused concussion

NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that her head was injured after a fall in a Dollar Tree store.

Mia Norflin filed a suit against Dollar Tree Stores Inc in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on April 6.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was at the Dollar Tree located at 11701 Morrison Road in New Orleans on Feb. 4 when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to fall on an unknown substance on an aisle floor, for which there was no warning. She alleges the fall caused a concussion.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failure to place warning signs, adequately inspect the premises and provide a safe environment.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by Richard V. Kohnke of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
