Walker alleges she was caused to fall because sidewalk was covered in sewage

NEW ORLEANS – A woman alleges a sidewalk slick with sewage caused her to fall.

Patricia Arnold filed a suit against Dennis Sheen, Dennis Sheen Transfer Inc., Joel A. Chutz Mumphrey, Gerard Chutz, John Alvin Chutz II, Seneca Specialty Insurance Co., John Doe, ABC insurance company and XYZ insurance company in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was walking on April 21, 2015, when the incident occurred at 3100 Chartres St. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to fall because the sidewalk was slippery from the defendants emptying the contents of their sewage holding tank.

The defendants are accused of negligence through violation of local sanitation legislation and failure to take reasonable care.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by Pini Aaron Weinstein of Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
