NEW ORLEANS – A realty company alleges they purchased a New Orleans property that had defects concealed from it by the previous owners.
Aidonis Realty LLC, Maria Aidonis and Ralph Gambale filed a suit against Jimmie Walters and Jikieyla Contruction LLC in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Sept. 6.
According to the claim, the plaintiffs and defendants entered into an agreement for the sale of an immovable property in 2015. The suit states that though the defendants were selling the property and though they knew of damages on the property, they failed to disclose the defects and attempted to conceal them from the plaintiffs. The plaintiffs allege they would not have purchased the property had they known of the defects.
The defendants are accused of breach of contract, intentional infliction of emotional distress and fraudulent misrepresentation.
The plaintiffs are seeking an unspecified amount in damages. They are represented by Scott M. Galante and Salvador I. Bivalacqua of Galante and Bivalacqua of New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
