Property owner alleges previous owner concealed its defects and damage

NEW ORLEANS – A woman is seeking damages, claiming that she was sold defective property on Marigny Street.

Susan K. Repon filed a suit against Eugene Landry Jr. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Sept. 2.

According to the claim, the plaintiff planned to purchase a piece of property from the defendant. The suit states that the plaintiff became aware of structural damage and defects in the property, which were already known by the defendant. The suit also states that the defendant had attempted to conceal the damages from the plaintiff.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract and fraud.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Jacob D. Young of the Young Law Firm in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
