The Swamp bar is accused of negligence in connection with attack

NEW ORLEANS – A man is seeking damages, claiming that he was attacked at a bar and forced to leave.

Sean T. Nestor filed a suit against 516 Enterprises LLC, doing business as The Swamp, and Lexington Insurance Company in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on January 15.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was a patron at The Swamp on February 15, 2015. The suit states that the plaintiff was struck by another patron and was caused to lose two teeth. While the plaintiff requested that he be able to look for the knocked out teeth, he was forced to leave by an employee of the defendant's.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to maintain the safety of patrons, allowing such an incident to take place and overall negligence of the defendant.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Neil F. Nazareth.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A .Reese.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case number 2016-534.
