Woman claims that Kenner Walmart's negligence resulted in her injury

GRETNA – A woman claims that she slipped and fell in Walmart store.

Paulette Washington filed a suit against Wal-Mart Louisiana LLC and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 5.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was a guest at the Walmart located at 3520 Williams Blvd. in Kenner on Oct. 10, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall to the floor when she encountered a substance on the floor and injured her head, left shoulder and right knee.

The defendants are accused of negligence through failing to properly clean the premises and failure to take the precautions necessary to prevent such an incident from taking place.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by R. Andrew Davis and James C. Lawrence in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald A. Rowan Jr.
