GRETNA – A man claims that he was caused to fall due to a broken chair.
David Bailey filed a suit against Jefferson Parish Hospital District No. 1 and/or West Jefferson Holdings, doing business as West Jefferson Medical Center, in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 2.
According to the claim, the plaintiff was at the defendant's human resources office on 4413 Wichers St. in Marrero on May 18, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to fall to the ground and be injured when the chair that he was sitting in collapsed.
The defendant is accused of negligence.
The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Pierre F. Gaudin in Gretna.
