NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that she fell down the steps at her work.
Kelsey Gooch filed a suit against 1009 Polydras LLC in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Sept. 30.
According to the claim, the plaintiff was at her place of employment on April 29 when the incident took place. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to fall down the stairwell while working due to a defect in the steps.
The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to repair the defect, warn of the danger of the defect, as well as allowing the plaintiff to work in a setting with such a risk.
The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Anthony J. Impastato.
The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
