TAG Homes Inc. accused of using defective materials in home project

GRETNA – A Metairie couple is seeking damages over allegations that defective materials were used in their home.

Mark J. Peters and Kimberly R. Peters filed a suit against TAG Homes Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court on Nov. 2.

According to the claim, the plaintiffs are property owners who contracted the defendant to complete work on their property. The suit states that the plaintiffs had an inspection of the completed work done, only to find that the materials used had been defective or work was not completed properly.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiffs are seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiffs are represented by Matthew A. Sherman, Preston L. Iiayes and Patrick R. Follette of Chehardy, Sherman, Williams, Murray, Recile, Stakelum & Hayes in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle M. Taylor.
