NEW ORLEANS – A woman is seeking damages after she alleges she was caused to trip and fall over debris that was left on her property.
Lynn Minor filed a suit against Cimarron Underground Inc. and Zurich American Insurance Co. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Oct. 21.
According to the claim, Cimarron Underground Inc. was working outside of the plaintiff's property on Aug. 4, and moved the plaintiff's trashcan. Failing to move the trashcan back to its original place, the plaintiff alleges she went to move it back later than night and tripped over debris the defendant allegedly left on the ground.
Cimarron Underground Inc. is accused of negligence.
The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by John L. Young of New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
