More than $4,000 sought on Citibank card

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish individual is alleged to owe more than $4,000 on a credit card.

Portfolio Recovery Associates LLC filed a suit against Janet Obiekwe in the 24th Judicial District Court on Nov. 7.

According to the claim, Citibank issued the defendant use of a credit card. The suit states that the defendant failed to make timely payments and now is indebted to the plaintiff for more than $4,000.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking $4,796.49 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Bradley J. Chauvin, Benjamin G. Lambert, Sarena Y. Gaylor, Remy F. Symons, Elizabeth L. Hyman, Jeremy L. Nusloch and Randall C. Roth of Couch, Conville & Blitt in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
