Jefferson Parish man accused of owing more than $8,000 on account

GRETNA – A limited liability company is seeking more than $8,000 from a Jefferson Parish man.

Portfolio Recovery Associates LLC filed a suit against Neil Becnel in the 24th Judicial District Court on Nov. 7.

According to the claim, Citibank issued a credit card to the defendant for his use. The suit states that the defendant failed to pay back the more than $8,000 accumulated on the card.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking $8,005.62 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Bradley J. Chauvin, Benjamin G. Lambert, Sarena Y. Gaylor, Remy F. Symons, Elizabeth L. Hyman, Jeremy L. Nusloch and Randall C. Roth of Couch, Conville & Blitt in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle M. Taylor.
