Ceco Concrete Construction claims it is owed for medical center project work

NEW ORLEANS – A construction company alleges it was not paid in full for work done on a medical center.

Ceco Concrete Constuction LLC filed a suit against Federal Insurance Co., The Continental Insurance Co., Fidelity and Deposit Co. of Maryland, Zurich American Insurance Co. and Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Oct. 28.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was contracted by Skanska MAPP and entered into a subcontract agreement for work on a medical center project in 2012.  The suit states that Skanska did not pay the plaintiff for its work and that more than $100,000 is outstanding. The defendants were sureties for the project, the suit states.

The plaintiff is seeking $100,495.78 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Scott C. Barney, John F. Olinde and Mary W. Dale of Chaffe McCall in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
