Woman alleged to owe more than $26,000 to loan trust

NEW ORLEANS – A student loan trust is seeking more than $20,000 from a New Orleans resident.

National Collegiate Student Loan Trust 2007-4 filed a suit against Mamie Franklin in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Sept. 2.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued a loan to the defendant which has allegedly not been paid back. The suit states that the defendant owes the plaintiff more than $26,000.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking $26,508.02 plus accrued interest of $6,530.74 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by J. Marron Monsour, Sean McAllister and Gregory M. Eaton of the Eaton Group Attorneys in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
