Property owner claims construction of Ray Abrams School damaged home

NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans man claims that his property was damaged due to the construction of a school.

Anthony Mitchell filed a suit against The McDonnel Group LLC; The Travelers Indemnity Co. of America; Howard Pile Driving Co. Inc.; Waggonner & Ball, Architects; and Schrenk, Endom & Flanagan LLC in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Nov. 15.

According to the claim, the plaintiff resided on a property at East Hermes Street next to a construction zone for Ray Abrams School. The suit states that the plaintiff suffered damages to his property due to the construction work that was being done by the defendants.

The defendants are accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Regel L. Bisso of Bisso & Miller in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
