Union Pacific Railroad Co. employee claims he was injured in accident in transport van

GRETNA – A Mississippi man is seeking damages following a workplace injury.

Patrick Gray filed a suit against Union Pacific Railroad Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court on Nov. 18.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was employed by the defendant as a locomotive engineer when the incident occurred on June 26. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused injury when the transport vehicle that he was a passenger in struck another vehicle.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to properly train employees, failing to give the plaintiff a safe work environment and overall negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Stephen J. Johnson of Houma.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.
