NEW ORLEANS – A Morgan City man employed as an offshore welder alleges he was injured on the job.
Tuoc Le filed a complaint on Nov. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Triple C Enterprise of Louisiana, C & G Welding Inc. and Manson Construction Co. alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in Nov. 22, 2013, while in the course and scope of his employment working aboard Manson Construction Co.'s vessel E.P. Paup, he sustained serious and disabling injuries to his mind and body resulting in physical pain, mental anguish, disability, medical expenses and loss of earning capacity. The plaintiff holds Triple C Enterprise of Louisiana, C & G Welding Inc. and Manson Construction Co. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate and sufficient crew, failed to provide adequate lighting and failed to maintain the vessel in a safe operating order.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks maritime lien against E.P. Paup, judgment against the vessel, an order directing the sale of the subject vessel and to direct the disbursement of the proceeds to the plaintiff to satisfy the judgment against said vessel.
