GRETNA – A mortgage association is suing a Jefferson Parish couple, alleging an overdue promissory note.
Federal National Mortgage Association filed a suit Dec.6 against Edwina Whitney wife of/and Edwin M. Jones in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging failure to pay off a promissory note.
According to the claim, Federal National is the holder of a promissory note for $213,200 issued by the Joneses. The suit states the defendants have failed to make payment of $162,116.97 on the note.
Federal National Mortgage seeks all money owed, courts costs and attorney fees. It is represented by attorney Fred J. Daigle of Graham, Arceneaux & Allen LLC in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn B. Ansardi.
