Man alleges contractors did not complete work in timely fashion, damaged property

NEW ORLEANS – A man claims that contractors damaged his property while constructing an outdoor pool area.

Leonard Davis filed a suit against Gunite Masters Inc., Backyard Living Pools & Spas LLC, Backyard Living Furniture LLC, Paul L. Tregre III and Scotsdale Insurance Co. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Dec. 7.

According to the claim, the plaintiff retained the defendants to complete work for him at the address of #1 Everett Place, New Orleans. The suit states that the defendants failed to complete work in a timely fashion, misrepresented the quality of the work and caused damages to the plaintiff's property in the course of their actions.

The defendants are accused of negligence and breach of contract.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. He is represented by Leonard A. Davis, Brian D. Katz and Herbert A. Cade of Herman, Herman and Katz LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
