New Orleans man accuses Wells Fargo of unjust foreclosure

NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans man alleges the property he was leasing was foreclosed wrongfully.

Edward Fields filed a suit Dec. 21 against Wells Fargo Bank, Mortgage Electronic Systems Inc and John Does 1-10 inclusive in Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

According to the claim, Fields obtained a mortgage Aug. 7 for the property at 3432 Vespasian in New Orleans. The suit states the property that the plaintiff obtained the mortgage on was incorrectly foreclosed.

The defendant is accused of wrongful foreclosure, cancellation of written instruments and other wrong actions.

Fields seeks compensatory damages and court costs. He is represented by attorney William R. Penton III.

The case has been assigned to Division Judge

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case number 16-12446.
