NEW ORLEANS – A California funding company is suing a Louisiana restaurant, alleging the defendant owes nearly $100,000.
Quick Bridge Funding LLC filed a lawsuit Jan. 6 against COJACKNJAKE LLC, doing business as Phil's Grill Severn, Phil's Grill Harahan LLC and Phillip Degruy (Gulf Coast Bank and Trust Company-Garnishee) in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging failure to pay overdue payments.
According to the complaint, Phil's Grill is indebted to Quick Bridge for amounts of $65,157.49 and $32,670.73. The suit says the defendant has failed to make any payments on the balances owed.
However, the lawsuit states the plaintiff has reason to believe Gulf Coast Bank and Trust Company is currently in possession of Phil's Grill's property or funds.
The defendant is accused of failing to pay the sums due to the plaintiff
The plaintiff seeks all costs owed, reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. It is represented by attorney Jon Ann Giblin of McGlinchey Stafford PLLC in Baton Rouge.
The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
