Bank alleges promissory note customer failed to pay $371,000

NEW ORLEANS – A bank is suing construction businesses, alleging failure to pay off the principal sum lent to them.

Gulf Coast Bank and Trust filed a lawsuit Jan. 11 against Crescent Crown Construction LLC and Classic Developments by JMG LLC in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging failure to pay balance due.

According to the complaint, Gulf Coast Bank is the holder of promissory note for the principal sum of $371,250. The suit states the defendants were to pay off the note in installments. However, the lawsuit says, the defendants have failed to make regular payment as agreed upon.

The suit states the defendants still owe the principal amounts, plus interest and other fees.

Gulf Coast Bank and Trust seeks the $371,250, reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. It is represented by attorney Wayne A. Maiorana Jr. of Newman, Mathis, Brady & Spedale in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
