Customer blames Dollar General for injuries

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish woman is suing a Dollar Store, alleging its negligence caused her to be injured.

Michele Junior filed a suit Jan. 17 against Family Dollar Stores of Louisiana Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was a guest March 17, 2016, at Dollar Store No. 4428 at 3407 Lapalco Blvd., Harvey. The suit says she was injured when her arm was caught by a sharp clip that was sticking out into an aisle. The lawsuit says she has suffered multiple personal and emotional injuries. 

The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to maintain a safe environment for customers, failing to warn of danger and failure to inspect the premises for defects.

Junior seeks all damages, attorney fees and court costs. She is represented by attorney John D. Noble of Michael Hingle & Associates LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 768224.
