Estate administrator alleges wrongful termination

NEW ORLEANS – An estate administrator is suing a charter school, alleging unlawful termination.

Kathleen Padian, as independent administrator of the estate of Adrian L. Morgan, filed a lawsuit Jan. 18 against Algiers Charter School Association Inc. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Morgan, an employee of Algiers Charter School, was entitled to salary, plus vacation leave, sick leave, disability and other benefits. The suit states the defendant breached the terms of Morgan's employment agreement, despite the plaintiff's excellent work, by terminating him.

Padian seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. She is represented by attorneys Anthony J. Milazzo Jr. and Charles V. Giordano of Hebbler & Giordano LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.
