Univeristy alleges students owe more than $1,000

NEW ORLEANS – A university is suing two students, alleging they owe more than $1,000.

The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through Southeastern Louisiana University filed a lawsuit Jan. 26 against Fayola T. Wilson and Brandon Lee in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging failure to pay what is owed.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is owed $1,454.09 plus interest by Wilson and Lee and has reason to believe Delgado Community College is indebted to the defendants and is required to serve as garnishee.

Southeastern Louisiana seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. It is represented by assistant state attorney general Wendy Ramnarine of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin.
