GRETNA – An apartment complex is suing a tenant, alleging she owes nearly $8,000.
1st Lake Properties Inc, agents for Hickory Creek East Apartments filed a lawsuit Jan. 31 against Charlotte Vergara, also known as Charlotte B. Vergara, also known as Charlotte B. Smith in 24th Judicial District Court alleging breaching an agreement with the plaintiff..
According to the claim, the plaintiff leased apartment No. 304 at 1901 Cypress Creek Road, River Ridge, to Vergara at the monthly rate of $1,057. The suit states Vergara has failed to keep up with payments, or to maintain the property in a proper way, such as damaging the carpets. The defendant is still indebted to the plaintiff for $7,947.55, plus interest.
1st Lake Properties seeks all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Jacob Kansas in Gretna.
The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.
