NEW ORLEANS – An Orleans Parish woman is suing contractors, alleging breach of contract and negligence in the construction of her home.

Lucy Car filed a lawsuit Feb. 8 against Classique Renovation Company and Lee Dorsey & Homes by Classique LLC in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging negligence and financial damages.

According to the complaint, Car entered into an agreement for the construction of her home at 6437 Colbert St., New Orleans. The suit states despite executing a contract on July 3, 2013, and paying the defendants, the defendants never completed the work in a satisfactory manner, leaving defects in the home that caused monetary damages to the plaintiff.

Car seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. She is represented by attorney Mark A. Mantooth of Dwyer, Cambre & Suffern in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division Judge Tiffany G. Chase.
