Customer alleges contractor botched job

NEW ORLEANS – An Orleans Parish customer is suing a contractor, alleging failure to properly complete a job.

Karl A. Jenkins filed a lawsuit Feb.1 against SSPJ LLC in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging negligence in construction quality.

According to the complaint, Jenkins is the owner of the property at 4405 Flite St., New Orleans. The suit states SSPJ was contracted to perform certain repairs on the property but failed to do a suitable job, resulting in leaks and subsequent damages.

The defendant is accused of failing to complete the work in a professional manner and acts of negligence.

Jenkins seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. He is represented by attorney Pierre V. Miller II of Patrick Miller LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
